AOR ColdNOx provides Andrographis paniculata, which helps reduce the symptoms of the common cold and upper respiratory tract infections.
World's first Andrographis paniculata enhanced with a natural source of supplemental nitric oxide
• Andrographis supercharged with beet-inspired nutrients
• alleviate your cold symptoms faster
• effective against numerous types of infections
• maximum effectiveness at a lower dose
ColdNOx is essential during cold and flu season for those who have a weakened immune system and are prone to falling ill. ColdNOx contains Andrographis paniculata extract in combination with a supplemental source of nitric oxide (NO), potassium nitrate. This formula is the WORLD’S FIRST Andrographis paniculata enhanced with a natural source of supplemental nitric oxide. This novel formula reduces the frequency, severity and duration of upper respiratory tract infections. NO acts as a natural antimicrobial and increases circulation to support recovery. Green tea extract and citric acid are also included in AOR’s proprietary NOx3,2,1 Technology blend as synergistic agents to improve the body’s conversion of nitrate to nitric oxide and to enhance its effectiveness.
what is Nitric Oxide?
Nitric oxide is an essential molecule that has a wide range of beneficial effects throughout the body. Its primary role is to facilitate communication between the body’s cells. It’s known as a powerful effector molecule and functions as an EDRF (endothelium-derived relaxation factor). Green leafy vegetables contain very high levels of nitrates, for example, celery, spinach and beetroot contain over 250mg of nitrate per 100g serving. Diets rich in fruits and vegetables such as the DASH, Mediterranean and Japanese, are associated with good health and protect against disease due to their high levels of nitrates.
How is Nitric Oxide produced?
Nitric oxide has an extremely short lifespan in the body which means that it must constantly be produced. Scientists now understand that dietary or supplemental nitrates introduced into the body is one important pathway in which the conversion of nitrate to nitrite is possible; this conversion then increases levels of nitric oxide in the body. Nitrate (NO3) is converted in the body (starting in the mouth) into nitrite (NO2) and then into nitric oxide (NO1) through a step by step conversion process.
Aren’t Nitrates & Nitrites Harmful?
Despite past controversy and false accusations against nitrosamine formation from consumed nitrates and nitrites, we now know that both are responsible for increasing levels of beneficial nitric oxide in the body. Diets that are rich in green leafy vegetable are also high in nitrate content. Of course, most people know that diets rich in vegetables have been proven to improve health and immunity and also to extend longevity; this is in large part due to the high nitrate content of fruits and vegetables.
The Benefits of Nitrates & Nitrites
There is now substantial evidence that proves nitrates are able to benefit the body in many ways, including reducing oxidative stress in the body, by preventing the progression of free radical chain reactions, preventing lipid peroxidation and protecting cells, proteins and DNA against damage. Some of its resulting health benefits include: lowering blood pressure, decreasing blood clotting, protecting the liver, decreasing oxygen consumption during maximal exercise and by increasing blood flow to the site of injury or illness in the body; it is also protective against cancer. Green tea extract and citric acid are also included in AOR’s proprietary NOx3,2,1 Technology blend as synergistic agents to improve the body’s conversion of nitrate to NO and to enhance its effectiveness.
A Long History of Use
Andrographis paniculata is a plant found primarily in Asia and India. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, it is used to remove heat, counteract toxicity and reduce swelling. In Ayurvedic and Thai medicine, it is used to treat fever associated with infectious diseases, and Scandinavians have used it as a cold and flu remedy.
Upper Respiratory Tract Infections, Pharyngotonsillitis, Cold and Flu Andrographis has been shown to reduce the frequency of upper respiratory tract infections (URTIs) as well as the duration and severity of URTI symptoms of the common cold and sinusitis, bronchitis, pharyngotonsillitis and pneumonia in just 2-4 days. Such symptoms include tiredness, sleeplessness, sore throat, nasal secretions, earaches, phlegm, coughing and headaches. There is also preliminary evidence of a preventive effect. Adverse events were mild and infrequent. Collectively, the data from seven double-blind controlled trials suggest that A. paniculata is superior to a placebo in alleviating the subjective symptoms of uncomplicated URTIs.
Andrographis is thought to inhibit the growth of certain pathogens and inhibit access to cells by microbes and the toxins they produce. Studies have also found that Andrographis can reduce the symptoms and severity of colon issues such as acute diarrhea, bacillary dysentery (bacterial infection of the gut mucosa with blood in the stool) and urinary tract infections.
Most people turn to antibiotics for eliminating infections. However, alternatives such as Andrographis paniculata are beneficial for both bacterial and viral infections.
ColdNOx combines both NOx3,2,1 technology with Andrographis paniculata for accelerated recovery and protection against bacterial and viral infections.
